Seminar on Innovation for Sustainability in Sheep and Goats

OVEJAS NEIKERNEIKER (Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development), IAMZ-CIHEAM (Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza / International Center for High Mediterranean Agronomic Studies) and the H2020 iSAGE Project (Innovation for the Sustainable Production of Sheep and Goats in Europe), organize The seminar on Innovation for Sustainability of Sheep and Goats, at the Europa Palace in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, from 3 to 5 October 2017The aim of the seminar is to promote the participation and interaction between scientists and technicians working in the sheep and goat industry with the purpose of introducing the conceptual framework for the development and adoption of innovation and analyzing the Innovations needed to adapt production systems to the new demands of society. Success stories of innovations already adopted in the sheep and goat industry will be presented and the subject of precision livestock will be introduced, not only as a vector of innovation but also as an opportunity for the sustainability of the sector.

This seminar is open to researchers, technicians, postgraduate students and other professionals working on the improvement of the small ruminant sector in Mediterranean countries.
