Main objective
Main objective: To generate, develop, complement and incorporate the required knowledge to solve the soil pollution problem of the Basque Country (northern Spain).
Specific objectives
(I) Development of methodologies for the physicochemical and biological characterization of soil pollutants.
(II) Development of methodologies for the assessment of the impact of pollutants on soil health.
(III) Development of bioremediation and phytoremediation technologies for the remediation of polluted soilsev.
(IV) Ddevelopment of methologies for the assessment of the impact of pollutants on soil health and of the efficiency of remediation methods, using soil microbial properties as bioindicators of soil health.
