Main objective
To develop physiological, enzymatic and molecular biological indicators for the assessment of soil health and, in particular, for the evaluation of the impact of agricultural practices on such health.
Specific objectives
(I) Determination of functional biodiversity of the soil microbial communities (physiological and enzymatic indicators).
(II) Determination of structural biodiversity of the soil microbial communities (molecular indicators).
(III) Application of biological indicators to the assessment of the impact of agricultural practices on soil health.
(IV) Comparison of responses: functional versus structural biodiversity.
(V) Selection of best statistical treatments.
