Working team - Fernando Blanco
Dr. Fernando Blanco is in charge of the Research & Development Laboratory of the Environment and Natural Resources Division at NEIKER-Tecnalia. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biology (1985) and a PhD in Science (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 1992), both awarded by the University of the Basque Country.
He has worked on: (i) purification of enzymes involved in nitrogen metabolism of cyanobacteria, (ii) environmental biotechnology with microalgae and (iii) anaerobic digestion of wastewaters. Nowadays, he works on the analytical improvement of microbial indicators of soil quality and health.
