Working team - Vanessa Larrabide
Vanessa Larrabide is a PhD student at the Department of Ecosystems, NEIKER-Tecnalia and a member of its Soil Microbial Ecology Group. She has: (i) a Bachelor of Science in Biology (University of the Basque Country, 2006) and (ii) a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences (University of the Basque Country, 2008).
Her main research interests are: the assessment of soil health and quality through the utilization of soil microbial properties and the development of bioremediation/phytoremediation technologies. She has experience on water and soil physicochemical characterization and on the utilization of biological indicators of water and soil quality (Microtox, PCR-DGGE, DNA microarrays, etc.). She also has expertise on natural attenuation of contaminated groundwater.
