Two main instruments are used for this:

- The creation of Young Innovative Companies.
- Industrial Property management - Patents.

Young Innovative Companies

NEIKER-Tecnalia has set up the firm NEIKERTEK. Its function is to manage all the necessary resources for supporting the setting-up of new companies. To achive this objective, NEIKERTEK´s main activities are:

• To generate new business ideas from R&D
• To support the development of businesses plans.
• To support the setting-up of new companies.
